One of the most difficult things about our sport is knowing what rod and line combinations you need to fish successively for the different specie we pursue, saltwater and fresh, single hand and two.

Over the last few season's I've worked with a number of pro-staff, organizing and balancing the G.Loomis rod line up, this demo will consist of a talk about the action, and application of each rod, as well as our choice of lines, that we feel best balance them, there will also be an opportunity for some hands on field testing

Here is a basic list of the rod line up:
10ft 3wt. Czech Nymph  (Trout series) New !!
8' 6" 5wt Stream Dance (Trout series)
7'9" 4wt Whisper Creek  (Trout series)
8' 6" Shore Stalker (Bass/pike, inshore Salt water series)
10' 7wt Native Run (steelhead series)
15' 7/8 Grease line (Roaring river two hand series)
13'4" 7/8 Dredger   (Roaring river two hand series)
11' 5wt Switch (Two hand series)
11' 8wt Switch (Two hand series)
12'6" 5/6 Versa (Two hand series) New !!
13' 7/8 Versa (Two hand series) New !!
9' 7wt Cross Current (Saltwater series)

Rick continues to get good reviews from course participants -

Hi Rick,

Thanks for the Spey casting lessons today.  We were all very impressed by your teaching and casting abilities.  You demonstrated a lot of patience in teaching a group of old Coots like us.  I hope to learn more from you in the future.  I would certainly recommend you to others interested in learning fly fishing.  - Leo Winter

Hi Rick - I just returned from my trip to King Salmon, Alaska. The weather was bitterly cold and fishing was generally poor, however, I did catch this big resident rainbow on my 9/10 Loomis Dredger GLX spey rod, the Airflow Skagit head and ridge running line. I used a full 12 feet of the sinking tip and the fish never had a chance against my Ross Momentum 7 reel. I was swinging one of those heavily weighted, articulated flesh flies that I showed you.

Thanks for the spey casting lessons and single-handed tune up. I got this great fish as a result of a long double spey cast into unwadable rapids. I also caught quite a few rainbows over 20 inches on my 8/9 Kispiox spey rod, using a floating tip and beads.

Regards Paul Manual
